LEADERS Pilot Lab
for I/O Practitioners
Applying People-Systems Leadership in Academic Spaces
A 10-week cohort-based pilot designed exclusively for I/O psychologists and I/O-adjacent practitioners who want to build real competence applying the LEADERS Model inside academic institutions.
You Know I/O Science. Now Learn to Apply It Where Academic Leaders Actually Work.
Academic institutions are complex people systems, shaped by shared governance, faculty culture, administrative hierarchies, and leadership dynamics that corporate I/O frameworks often miss entirely. The LEADERS Pilot Lab is a structured practitioner experience designed to close that gap.
The Problem We're Solving
- Most I/O training is built for corporate contexts
- Academic leadership consulting requires different language, norms, and entry points
- Few practitioners have real exposure to how academic institutions hire, develop, and lead people
- Applying I/O frameworks without academic context often breaks relationships, not builds them
What This Pilot Does
- Teaches you the LEADERS Model as a practitioner, not just a learner
- Grounds every phase in real academic consulting and leadership development cases
- Builds your academic I/O vocabulary and consulting posture
- Creates a small community of practitioners building this space together
- Produces your LEADERS Application Map, a real tool for your practice
Five Reasons This Pilot Is Different
Apply I/O Science to Academic Spaces
Most I/O training focuses on corporate environments. This pilot is designed specifically to help you translate your expertise into academic institutions, where the people dynamics, governance structures, and leadership norms are entirely different.
Learn the LEADERS Model From the Inside
You will move through all seven phases, Learn, Establish, Activate, Develop, Elevate, Review, Sustain, as a practitioner, not just a student. Every session includes applied case work.
Join a Small, Selected Cohort
This pilot is intentionally small: 8 to 15 I/O practitioners and I/O-adjacent professionals. You will be known, heard, and challenged. This is not a webinar.
Become a Practitioner Advocate & Future Facilitator
Pilot participants help shape the full LEADERS Institute curriculum. Those who demonstrate facilitator readiness may be invited to contribute to future program delivery.
Leave With a Real Deliverable
Your final output is a LEADERS Application Map and an academic consulting case presentation, work you can use immediately in your practice.
