HBCU I/O Psychology Task Force
A collaboration between Blacks in I/O Psychology and The Academic I/O, bringing together scholars, practitioners, alumni, and leaders to expand awareness, access, and future pathways in Industrial-Organizational Psychology for HBCU students and institutions.
Three Primary Goals
Expand Awareness & Access

Three Working Areas
Outreach & Access
Connects directly with HBCU students, faculty, and programs through webinars, campus touchpoints, and community entry points.
Information Gathering & Research Development
Builds the knowledge base through surveys, scans, and research that inform programming.
Program Development
Designs resources, tools, and longer-term programming that support HBCU students over time.
Program-development ideas may include awareness sessions, undergraduate electives/tracks, internships, certifications, and longer-term program models. These are co-designed future pathways — not currently available degree programs.
